Haven’s Kitchen:

Food insecurity affects residents of Southwest Florida at a disproportionately higher rate than the rest of the state.

Research shows that 20% of children in the area go to bed hungry. Meanwhile, 49% of those who are food insecure are above the SNAP threshold; This means they are unable to access government support.

Southwest Florida has the highest income gap (rate of income inequality) in the state. Haven Community Church uplifts the biblical message of loving one’s neighbor and using one’s privilege to strengthen the community in which they live.
